“Loneliness is a sickness. Like a cold you catch when you’ve been out in the chilled night of isolation, for too long. A cold meant to build your immunity. Loneliness becomes your own atmosphere. No matter who tries to touch you, the winds of injury blow them away, like a wound calls for air. Loneliness is the nurse who quietly demands courage while sewing up the cut and still bleeding flesh. Loneliness is a lover who holds you while you get to know yourself. They hold you while you know what touch you need. They never let you be truly lonely – only asking for your stillness and tears in return.

A performance on the topic of loneliness and isolation in settler-colonial society.

Performance as part of Lit Crawl Boston: Poet Is Busy.
